The Harrisonburg-Rockingham community is invited to attend the Intercultural / Interfaith Summit.

This is a FREE event, open to the public!

The summit is your opportunity to join hundreds of people, community leaders, and organizations committed to discussing issues related to cultural and religious diversity in Harrisonburg-Rockingham community.  We will come together to share successes, create and strengthen partnerships, and explore ways to address challenges.

  • Are you interested in meeting fellow area residents from different cultural backgrounds?
  • Is your organization looking to build partnerships with other programs and businesses that serve immigrant, refugee, and/or other foreign-born residents of Harrisonburg?
  • Are you interested in discussing immigration policy, and/or other local, state, or regional policies that relate to area diversity issues?
  • Are you interested in learning about population trends and Harrisonburg’s growth?
  • Do you want to meet people working on connecting across cultural and religious differences?
  • Do you have an idea or project to share with others?

Approximate Agenda

  • 3:00 Registration at Memorial Hall
  • 3:30 Opening Session – All attendees are invited to fill the day’s agenda with topics, questions, and concerns of most interest to them.
  • 4:30 Breakout Session 1
  • 5:45 Breakout Session 2
    Free buffet dinner
    with Halal, Kosher and vegan options
  • 7:00 Breakout Session 3
  • 8:15-8:45 Closing Session

Organizations wishing to showcase their mission and services to the hundreds of attendees may do so for a $75 fee.
Organizations are responsible for bringing all they need for their display (including a table), and setting up and breaking down on the day of the summit.   Fill out the partner form to register for the table expo.
