On Saturday, August 29, 2009, the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community is invited to attend the Health & Wellness Summit.

This is a FREE event, open to the public!

The summit is your opportunity to join community leaders and organizations committed to creating healthier people and lifestyles in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham community. We will come together to share successes, create and strengthen partnerships, and explore ways to address challenges.

  • Do you have questions about how you and your family can live a healthier lifestyle?
  • Is your organization looking to build partnerships with other programs and businesses?
  • Are you interested in discussing health care policy?
  • Do you want to meet people working on making Harrisonburg healthier?
  • Do you have an idea or project to share with others?

Approximate Agenda

  • 8:45 Registration and Coffee at First Presbyterian Church on Court Square
  • 9:30 Opening Session – All attendees are invited to fill the day’s agenda with topics, questions, and concerns of most interest to them.
  • Breakout Sessions – These discussions will be held throughout downtown Harrisonburg, in restaurants and green spaces.
    • 10:30 Session I
    • 11:45 Session II
    • 1:00 Session III
  • 2:45-3:15 Closing Session
