Discussion points varied over a 2 hour session.
- Support for Israel: where does it come from?
- Several organizations exist nationally and abroad to address the needs and disseminate information.
- Touched on some of the history and attempts for peace including the Wye Convention, Madrid Plan, as well as the Oslo Accords, Camp David,….
- How do we as Americans learn the truths about the conflict and discern between the competing information?
- Grassroots can play a major role in education and offering initiatives that support a larger movement.
- Talked about the recent support for the concept of a 2-state solution and what that might look like.
- Discussion was made about the impediments to peace that currently exist which include Hamas refusal to accept the State of Israel and the increasing presence of illegal settlements on Palestinian land.
- Talked about the political climate on both sides and acknowledge our current administration may be the best hope for a lasting Peace.
- Talked about the negotiation process and who can represent an honest broker.

Meetings held the 2nd Sunday of each month from 4pm to 6pm at the Fairfield Center accross from the Public Library.
Upon the conclusion it was asked about the possibilities and signs of hope that may exist. It was suggested that a representative small group formulate and develope an acceptable letter that would be forwarded to all levels of our political representatives.
Initiatives and Action discussion to follow on Sunday June 13th from 4pm to 6pm at the Fairfield Center. The group’s vision is to bring people of Multifaiths together for the purpose of bringing Justice and Peace to the peoples of Israel and Palestine. All are welcomed to attend. Tea/Coffee and sweets provided.
