- We discussed the beneficial characteristics of the External Diploma Program offered at the Career Development Academy at JMU.
- Adults that need a high school diploma can get help.
- The high school drop-out rate is a community concern.
- About 20% of local adults do not yet have a high school diploma.
- In the H’burg-R’ham area the only two ways for an adult that left high school without graduating to get a credential is EDP or GED.
- Currently GED is only sucessfully serving less than 2% of adults without a credential.
- EDP is an alternative to GED to consider.
