The Community Mediation Center is excited to announce a service opportunity in conjunction with Saturday’s Sustainability Summit! The Salvation Army is bringing their truck to accept food contributions for 1,000 families in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County who have applied for food assistance this holiday season.
There’s nothing more basic to a sustainable community than to have food available for families and children in our community.
Come drop off a turkey or other nonperishable food item, or a cash donation, to the Salvation Army from 11-1pm at Memorial Hall (the FORMER Harrisonburg High School). Stay for the Sustainability Summit, which is 12-5pm.
