5 Minute Overview of a Harrisonburg Summit

What happens at a Harrisonburg Summit? How does it work? This 5-minute video captures the general flow of a summit, in this case the Intercultural/Interfaith Summit held on October 22, 2009 from 3-9pm at Memorial Hall (the former Harrisonburg High School).

The video shows the opening circle, participants creating breakout topics and setting the agenda, snapshots of the discussions, and come clips of the closing circle.  The process used for the summit is called “Open Space Technology.”

The event had at least 275 attendees who created 28 different breakout sessions.
