Kicks Off New Harrisonburg Summits Initiative
HARRISONBURG, VA, August 19, 2009: Over 100 people and 40 partner organizations are anticipated to attend the Harrisonburg Health and Wellness Summit on August 29, 2009 from 9-4pm. The event will begin at the First Presbyterian Church on Court Square, and breakout sessions will occur in downtown venues and restaurants. The event is free and open to the public. The day’s agenda and reports will be posted live online at www.HarrisonburgSummits.com throughout the day, and remained archived. All attendees receive a report and participant directory. Kai Degner, Director of Organizational Communication at the Community Mediation Center, says, “The Health and Wellness Summit is designed to connect people, projects, leaders, businesses, policies and ideas around promoting healthier people and lifestyles in Harrisonburg and the central Shenandoah Valley. Come to share and learn information and find new partnerships.”
This innovative event kicks off a new programmatic series of Harrisonburg Summits, hosted by the Community Mediation Center. Each event is designed to facilitate education, relationships, and action surrounding vital issues and themes facing the central Shenandoah Valley.
